Terms and conditions
We’ll ask you to sign up to the following terms and conditions (as well as our waiver) when you purchase a membership or pass.
1. Membership and Payments
1.1. Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
1.2. Members must maintain an active payment method on file.
1.3. Failed payments may result in suspension of membership until the balance is cleared.
1.4. Membership prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice.
2. Cancellations and Pauses
2.1. Monthly memberships can be cancelled with two months' notice before the next billing date.
2.2. Memberships can be paused for a period of between one month (30 days) and three months, except in cases of long term injury, in agreement with the gym owner.
2.3 Membership can be paused no more than two times per year.
2.4 Pauses can be requested for injury recovery, changes of financial or life circumstances, or periods living/travelling outside of Newbury (for example for work). At the end of the three month period, paused memberships will automatically resume on the previous plan, unless the paused member notifies us that they wish to cancel their membership (or extend due to ongoing long term injury). In these cases, the standard two month notice period will apply.
3. Class Bookings and Attendance
3.1. Members must book classes and Open Gym sessions in advance via WoDBoard.
3.2. Members must make every effort to cancel bookings at least 2 hours before class start (we accept that this will not always be possible).
3.3. Newbury CrossFit reserves the right to amend class timetables and coaches.
3.4. For silver members, if classes are cancelled with fewer than two hours notice, that class or open gym session will be counted amongst their 3 per week allowance.
4. Health and Safety
4.1. Members train at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.
4.2. All new members must complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) before training.
4.3. Members must follow all coach instructions, use equipment properly, and respect health and safety rules.
4.4. Personal belongings are brought into the gym at the owners' own risk.
5. Children and Visitors
5.1. Members must be aged 16 or over unless participating in Strong Kids and Teens with parental consent.
5.2. Children are not permitted on the training floor unless part of a supervised session (Strong Kids, Teens, Parents and Poppets) or agreed by a coach.
5.4. Visitors and children spectating classes must follow coach instructions.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
6.1. Personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
6.2. We collect and process personal information solely for membership management, class bookings, and communication.
6.3. Members may request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time.
Newbury CrossFit reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members will be notified by email or in writing, and continued use of the facility constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
