Get active

Flexible fitness and training you can tailor to your lifestyle

Whether you’re a newcomer to fitness, a seasoned competitive athlete or somewhere in between we can offer you a space to get fitter, learn new skills, prepare for competition, and be part of a brilliant community.

Our gym was founded on the CrossFit methodology of "constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity", but over time we’ve extended our programme to ensure that whether you’re focused on CrossFit, Hyrox, cardio, weightlifting, or just generally getting healthy, we have something for you.  By combining proven training methods, we’ll make sure that you can improve your strength, endurance, mobility and skills, by choosing from the following sessions:

CrossFit

One-hour sessions with a skill or strength section followed by a workout combining weights with gymnastics (body weight movements) and cardiovascular/machine work. CrossFit is designed to help you build power, strength and flexibility.

  • All our CrossFit classes are led by qualified coaches with many years of experience.

  • Every workout and movement can be broken down and adapted to enable people of all abilities and ages to improve and get fitter.

Conditioning

One-hour sessions with a focus on cardiovascular endurance over a longer workout; still plenty of variety on movements and equipment, designed to build your aerobic capacity.

  • An unstoppable engine is the foundation of your health and fitness.

  • Our conditioning classes are popular with runners, Hyrox competitors and people looking to build cardiovascular fitness more than power and strength.

Weightlifting

75-minute sessions designed to improve your Olympic weightlifting technique (clean, jerk, snatch, plus accessory movements like squats and bench press) and have fun with a barbell!

  • Our weightlifting classes are led by experienced lifters who love to share their expertise.

  • Olympic Lifting has many benefits including improved bone density, mobility, strength and overall fitness, and it is suitable for everyone.

Open gym

When classes are not running in the gym, it is open for you to follow your own training or work on skills. We can provide you with bespoke programming if there’s a specific skill or area of your fitness you’d like to develop.

Personal training and nutrition

We are home to several highly experiences personal trainers, with whom you can book one to one or small group sessions during Open Gym hours. Our personal trainers and coaches can also provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle improvements.
